Low Intermediate
"Señorita"

I love it when you call me Señorita
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya
But every touch is ooh-la-la-la
It's true la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming
For ya

Land in Miami
The air was hot from summer rain
It should be lovely
Before I even knew her name la-la-la
It felt like ooh-la-la-la
Yeah, no

Sapphire moonlight
We danced for hours in the sand
Tequila Sunrise
Her body felt right in my hands, la-la-la
It felt like ooh-la-la-la
Yeah

I love it when you call me Señorita
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya
But every touch is ooh-la-la-la
It's true la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you know I love it

When you call me Señorita
I wish it wasn't so damn hard to leave ya
But every touch is ooh-la-la-la
It's true la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming
For ya

Back in my hotel
There's just some things that never change
You say, "We're just friends."
But friends don't know the way you taste-la-la-la
'Cause you know it's been a long time comin'
Don't you let me fall, oh

Ooh, when your lips undress me
Hooked on your tongue
Ooh, love, your kiss deadly
Don't stop

I love it when you call me Señorita
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya
But every touch is ooh-la-la-la
It's true la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you know I love it

When you call me Señorita
I wish it wasn't so damn hard to leave ya
But every touch is ooh-la-la-la
It's true la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming
For ya

All along I'll be coming for ya (for ya)
And I hope it meant something to ya
Call my name, I'll be comin' for ya (comin' for ya)
Comin' for ya (comin' for ya)

For ya, for ya (oh, she loves it when I call her), for ya
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming
For ya

Shawn Peter Raul Mendes, singer, songwriter, model, mental health advocate was born on August 8, 1998, in Toronto-suburb, Pickering, Ontario. Young Shawn Mendes followed in the footsteps of earlier Canadian pop music star Justin Bieber, building a following online in his teens before signing with a major label.

Mendes’s popularity online, particularly on Vine, caught the attention of American talent manager Andrew Gertler in late 2013. Mendes signed with Island Records in May 2014. His first single, “Life of the Party,” was released in June and debuted on the Billboard Top 25. Just shy of his 16th birthday, Mendes became the youngest artist to debut that high on the Billboard charts. He followed this with his first major label EP in July of 2014, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

Fast forward to 2020, Mendes released his fourth album, Wonder. Like his previous albums, it debuted at No. 1 in Canada and the US. “Señorita,” a duet with Mendes’s romantic partner at the time, Camila Cabello, won a 2020 Juno Award for Single of the Year and received a 2019 Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Shawn Mendes quickly established himself as one of the most popular and recognized Canadian artists of all time. He has won more than 120 professional awards, including multiple American Music Awards, Billboard Live Music Awards, BMI Pop Awards, E! Peoples Choice Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and Teen Choice Awards, among many others.
