What's the deal with Assignment #s?

Take a quiz and scroll to the bottom of the results page and you'll see a form that reads, "I want to send these results to my teacher."

Quiz scores are grouped by by "assignment #." For example, If I have three classes with 10-15 students in each class, and I want all of them to do the same quiz (due Wednesday), I could use "assingment #'s" to keep their results separate. I'd tell one class to enter assignment # 1 along with my teacher code, the second assignment #2, and the third assignment #3. Thus, when I log into my account on Wednesday, all of my student's scores will be grouped by assignment # and listed in alphabetical order by name.
